Produced by CORIAN®
Commissioned by the London Design Festival, 2015
ISLE is a mobile pop-up shop designed for the London Design Festival at the Victoria and Albert museum, in collaboration with DuPont Corian®.
To design a sculptural display made in Corian® without compromising its functionality and mobility was our ambition. Inspired by Art Deco and Constructivism we worked on a composition of functional volumes to form a self-contained landscape where the products can be arranged freely. The shoppers are invited to walk around the display and discover the collection gradually.
We chose DuPont Corian® Mint Ice for the display; the distinctive colour is soft and luminous at the same time and the material conveys something ethereal and tactile that is very unique. The clean lines contrast nicely with the museum’s elaborate architecture. The pastel colour also provides an interesting background for LDF’s iconic poppy red.
A selection of designer’s prints and gifts were available for sale during the festival, including our Tipsy glasses.
