WOGG01 / WOGG57
Designed for WOGG, 2013
30 years after WOGG01 was first unveiled, the legendary shelving system designed by Gerd Lange in 1984, has now made a comeback. Mark Werder asked us to revive the design to fit in contemporary contexts. We decided to keep its perfect structural system untouched, but added a modern twist by using wood veneers, and change the look by creating more rhythmic compositions.
Initially designed to incorporate the geometrical shape of the original shelving system, WOGG57 is a refined bookend that also exudes its own identity. It is a colourful and functional element that can be positioned anywhere on the shelf and can be moved freely between the lines to add a splash of colour where you want it. Made of metal, powdercoated or polished, the bookend becomes a mirror or a small cabinets of curiosities.
